Nice article in HBVL last week about Bobbejaanland's awakening from hibernation and how many people are contributing behind the scenes. Narviflex Rubber & Plastics Yellow repairs the rubber buffers and replaces the lift belts of the attractions.

This special version of Volta SuperDrive and Volta DualDrive is extra resistant to hydrolysis (including cleaning with steam) and chemical products (including cleaning with chlorine). All belt configurations (cleats, sidewalls and guides) are also available in this DR version. Naturally, these DR versions have all the advantages of Positively Driven Conveyor Belts: no slip, always guidingand a construction can be made that makes cleaning the conveyor belts easier and safer. For environmental reasons, Volta conveyor belts made of full PU are easier to recycle, because they consist of only one material. Finger cleats for fragile products Finger cleats are suitable for products that require gentle and stable handling. They prevent products from rolling during loading and therefore becoming damaged or unusable. In a humid environment, a finger band ensures that excess moisture is properly drained. They can also be used in combination with a comb to remove excess or hanging products. Efficient installation technology saves money Narviflex uses a very efficient mounting technique in which the fingers are placed individually (i.e. without a foot) on the conveyor belt. Our unique mounting technique saves time and money and the fingers are attached more firmly than with 'conventional' techniques, which contributes to the use and lifespan in your application. However, you can also buy separate fingers from us, or fingers already mounted on a base. We supply these fingers for various applications, customers sometimes also mount them mechanically, for example on a bar belt or chain belt.

A letter ! Type Y or type W? But a difference between night and day. Rubber conveyor belts must be produced according to the DIN 22102 standard. But let's delve deeper into what the standard says about the quality of rubber conveyor belts, including the wear resistance of the covering layers. There are 4 types of indications for the quality of the coatings: Type Z: that is simply not quality and fortunately is not used in Western Europe Type Y: is the entry-level class and is most commonly used in Western Europe, for price reasons Type X: is a special quality, for sharp pieces, to be used in consultation with our experts Type W: is the top quality, with the highest wear resistance For many years, Narviflex has chosen to produce all its rubber conveyor belts according to the highest anti-wear class type W, which is up to 50% more wear-resistant than the “entry-level” type Y. When assessing a quotation, look at the wear indication (Type Y or type W). Type Y is often omitted, because the provider does not want to admit that they do not offer the top quality type W. So be sure to ask if it is not clear what quality is offered. “I don't understand how your (Narviflex) conveyor belt lasts 3 times longer than the others' belts…” says the customer. We understand that. Type Y is simply much lower in quality and wear resistance than type W. If you want to know more, you can first watch the video of the tests in the rubber lab ... and can then consult the tables with the wear resistance data . Conclusion: choosing type W instead of type Y can more than double the lifespan of your rubber conveyor belt!
